No Matching Results

A "No Matching Results Report" enables you to effectively manage search rules by identifying non-performing ones (those that are that are not impacting any search results/landing pages), allowing for optimization and improved search functionality. This targeted approach to rule management increases the effectiveness of rules, resulting in a better search experience and higher user engagement.

Navigating to the No Matching Results

  1. To navigate to the No Matching Results Report, click on “Reports“ from the top navigation

  2. Next, you can either select “No Matching Results“ from the left navigation or select it from the Reports Home Page. Either link will take you to the No Matching Results report page.

Customizing the No Matching Results

  1. Name: Input the name of the rule to narrow down the result

  2. Type: Use the drop down menu to select whether it is a global or conditional rule (if the rule you are looking for is a boost/bury or visibility rule)

  3. Item Type: Use the drop down menu to select the type of the rule

  1. Refresh: Clicking the "Refresh" button will cause the display of the reports to change according to your newest specifications. 

  2. Export: To export the report to an excel document, click on the "Export" button.

  3. Clear: The "Clear" button will delete any changes that you have made.

Understanding Your Report

  1. Table: The table shows the rules that are not currently impacting any search results/landing pages.

    1. Name: The name of the rule

    2. Item Type: Rule type

    3. Global/Conditional: Shows whether the rule is global or conditional (in cases of boost/bury and visibility rules)

  2. Results Included: Control how many rules are displayed on one page by using the “Show“ pull down menu.
