Getting Data into Hawksearch
Depending on the version of Hawksearch you are working with, the manner in which you index data will differ.
To enable searching on your site, you would need to query Hawksearch for keywords with or without sorting and pagination, etc. To make this happen, we first need to load data into Hawksearch using one of the following means (check with your Hawksearch contact for the method applicable to your engine).
Data loading methods:
Hawksearch version v4.0 exposes REST API endpoints to index data.
Hawksearch v2.0L-v4.0L versions utilize data feed files to index data into Hawksearch. You can provide the data feeds by hosting them on your website’s URL or upload to an SFTP directory (Hawksearch provides sftp hosting, check with your Account Manager for more information).
Technical details can be found in the following documentation:
Hawksearch v4.0 - Indexing API - Uploading data into HawkSearch v4.0 index
Standard Data Feed Requirements for Datafeed-based indexing - prerequisites and data upload to indices of HawkSearch “L” versions or those Hawksearch v4.0 engines using data feeds instead of Hawksearch v4.0 indexing API
If your website or service is hosted on one of the many CMSes Hawksearch integrates into, you can also leverage the Connectors Hawksearch provides, details are available here -https://hawksearch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CON/overview?homepageId=594248022
