Important: The V4 mode of the connector can be used only with an instance of the Hawksearch V4search version. Please use the V4L mode of the connector for existing sites integrated with Hawksearch V4L version.

• General

  • The Hawksearch Connector is now distributed as a NuGet package. Any customizations on top of the Connector should be done by utilizing the public API of the connector.

• Hawksearch V4

  • Integration with the V4 version of Hawksearch 

  • OOB integration with the built-in Sitefinity search widgets

  • Extensibility points allowing developers to apply customizations without interfering with the source code of the connector

  • Enhancements in the Hawksearch widgets

    • Ability to have full control over the markup by only modifying the Hawksearch widgets

    • Ability to localize labels and messages

    • Ability to customize the display name of facet filters 

    • Client-side binding built on top of the Hawksearch React SDK and the Hawksearch web API

    • Each Hawksearch widget now comes with two widget templates – vanilla version (i.e. no css applied) and a Bootstrap4 version

  • Export metadata is now persisted in database to ensure that the connector is compatible the “Sitefinity Cloud” offering

  • Extensibility points allowing developers to apply customizations without interfering with the source code of the connector

  • Various improvements and bug fixes covering the full and delta export functionalities
