Field Assignments

This is the last step in configuring the Hawksearch SIM. Here we assign the normalizers previously created with the fields on which we would like to enable the SIM.

For every field, we can assign three different normalizers which may be setup.

1. Search Normalizer: The normalizer to be used during the search time

2. Facet Normalizer: all facet values will be converted into the unit mentioned in the normalizer

3. Sort Normalizer: this is enabled for fields which have the sortable flag set to yes

In the above configuration, the field ContentType has values normalized based on the UOM and Indexing normalizers however it is not sortable hence the sort normalizer is disabled.
